Manufacturing Engineer
Job details
Full job description
We are hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to join Helix Engineering in Aurora.
About Helix Engineering
Helix Engineering is a family-owned technology and manufacturing engineering business based in Aurora. Founded in 2022, we run 2 locations in Greater Chicago and employ a tight team that values doing the work well over scale.
About the role
You'll design and improve the processes that make the product: laying out production lines, writing and updating standard work, specifying tooling and fixtures, and running time studies to find and remove bottlenecks. You'll lead root-cause investigations on scrap and downtime, justify and commission new equipment, and support new product introductions so designs actually build cleanly on the floor. You'll spend real time at the line, not just in CAD.
What you will bring
You bring an engineering foundation plus floor-level curiosity: you'd rather watch ten cycles at the station than guess from a spreadsheet. You're rigorous with data, practical about what operators will actually adopt, and persistent about closing out improvements instead of leaving them at 80 percent.
Send us your resume and a short note. We review applications on a rolling basis.
